New MINI Models and Concept Cars

MINI 50 Camden

MINI 50 Camden: dynamic and progressive all in one. With its dominating colours Silver, White and Black, the MINI 50 Camden even at very first sight highlights its technical clarity and sporting character. Body paint in White Silver metallic is combined with a white roof, and the MINI 50 Camden is also available in Midnight Black metallic or Horizon Blue metallic.

MINI 50 Mayfair

Back in 1982 the classic Mini already came as a special Mayfair model combining supreme comfort and an extravagant look. Today the new MINI 50 Mayfair interprets this style of sophisticated understatement in a new, modern way. High-quality materials, stylish details and a colour scheme offering classic elements throughout determine both the outer and the inner looks of this very special car. For the first time and only on this anniversary model the body of a MINI Hatch is finished in the special Hot Chocolate metallic paintwork colour so far available exclusively on the MINI Clubman and the MINI Convertible, combined with a white roof. On request the body is also available in Pepper White or Midnight Black paintwork as an alternative to this highly attractive brown colour.

The MINI Crossover

Measuring about six inches wider and taller than the Clubman, the Crossover Concept features a five-door body style, but that's where the similarities end. The right rear door has a conventional hinge, but the left door slides out and back, minivan-style. The rear hatch ditches the Clubman's dual doors and is instead fitted with a single panel that opens to the right. Sources suggest that the concept's door arrangement might be nixed in favor of something more traditional when it reaches production.  This crossover will be available with a four wheel drive option.

The MINI Beachcomber

The Beachcomber is a four-seater concept that has been designed to offer an awesome driving experience. If you are someone who lives life being spontaneous and active, then the MINI Beachcomber and its interior has been designed just for you. The technologies used in the drivetrain will offer drivers an emotional driving experience.  The design of the car is nothing like we have seen before, there are no doors but there is a roof, but with a large hole in it. The driver and passengers will be able to enjoy the outside world more while still enjoying the thrills of driving. Just make certain that the weather is nice before you decide to go out cruising.  The MINI Beachcomber Concept comes with a four-wheel drive system and the latest in suspension technology, ideal for use on the beach. Spring travel is more than your standard car and those extra large wheels give you more ground clearance.

The MINI Speedster Hardtop

Further MINI fantasy revolves around a coupe version of the Speedster — this car is said to possess the same hunkered-down, sportier appearance as the Speedster, but with a fixed roof structure.  Rumors suggest the Coupe might actually beat the Speedster to market. Neither production version is expected to arrive before 2011.

The MINI Speedster Convertible

Presentation of the MINI Roadster Concept in the anniversary year of the brand combines a retrospective view of the brand’s highly successful history with the great appeal of the current model range to offer a wonderful outlook into the future. Introduction of the classic Mini fifty years ago hailed the advent of a revolutionary vehicle concept destined for ongoing fame and popularity for decades to come. Now the current models in the MINI range interpret the traditional values of the brand in modern style, setting the standards for driving pleasure, premium quality and individual flair in the small car segment. And as a vision demonstrating the ongoing flexibility of this unique character, the MINI Roadster Concept clearly presents the exceptional potential of the brand both today and in the future.

MINI Goodwood -- Limited Edition

BMW is set to give the green light to ultra-luxury version of the Mini which will be trimmed at the Rolls-Royce factory in Goodwood.  Highly placed sources at BMW have said that the cars will "totally individual" and the project is seeking to create "niche vehicles" for customers.  It's likely that the options will extend beyond trim materials and could see buyers encouraged to commission genuine coachbuilt features such as new interior fittings.  The plans have been inspired by the bespoke coachbuilt Minis that became popular with celebrities in the early 1960s.  Similar cars were built for members of the Beatles.

MINI WC50 -- Limited Edition

Only 250 units will ever be produced, with 100 of them destined for the UK market, and the rest will be reserved mostly for other European countries. The MINI WC50 is basically a slightly re-modeled MINI JCW with changes including, a new aero-kit, Bi-Xenon head lights, fog lamps, bonnet stripes, a carbon fiber bonnet scoop, carbon fiber mirror caps, a rear diffuser as well as 17-inch Cross-Spoke Challenge alloy wheels in Jet Black finish. The JCW-sourced 1.6 liter 16-valve with a twin-scroll turbocharger is able to develop 211HP and 280Nm of torque, meaning its yet another fire-cracker!
