My husband & I had been contemplating a new car purchase for some time. I have always loved the look of the MINI on the road and with my long commute to work, needed something fuel efficient without sacrificing style & comfort. We found that in MINI. After searching the internet for a couple of days and looking at the inventory at various MINI dealerships, we were fortunate enough to come upon Irvine MINI and Huw John. One brief conversation with my husband on the phone and we had emails within minutes from Huw and his cell number. The following evening we were at Irvine MINI meeting Huw, test driving the car with him in the backseat not the passenger (nice…), and being educated on the MINI experience from a MINI owner himself. I am speechless about my new MINI. I am beyond happy with everything so far, I believe when I got back to Santa Monica around 8:30 last night, I called just about everyone I knew to come and look at my new baby. It was a pleasure driving on the freeway and to work this morning along PCH. I even took my co-workers one whom is close to Huw’s height, he sat in the back and said there was more then enough room. Huw truly made this a wonderful experience, I cannot stop smiling about my Baby. My dad wants to get one now! My roommate's mother has been planning to purchase one in about 3 months and I asked her to go and purchase it from Huw. Again, thank you for everything!!

This is Mini #3 for me. I passed down Mini #1 to my college age daughter. I switched to a 3 series BMW but always missed my Mini and looked for those opportunities that I could borrow my old Red Mini Cooper named "Pepi". When my lease was up on the 3 series, I could not miss the opportunity to at least check out the new generation Mini. I fell in love all over again. This time I purchased from Huw a White Silver Camden (unfortunately it didn't have a sun roof). Although the Camden was a real specialty treat and a rare opportunity to purchase this 50th Anniversary edition, I missed my shiny red Mini experience. I phoned Huw and told him of my dilemma. Huw patiently listened to my story and told me that he would carefully help me to weigh all of my options, and explain them in detail. That he would look at the cars/specials that were being offered and would get back to me. In just a short time, he did, and I was given an appointment to come down and look at 3 cars and the financials for each scenario. I have never in 30 years had a salesman place cars side by side so that I could compare them upfront and in such a personal way. Guess what, I ended up with another shiny red Mini but this time an "S" model and convertible! I'm in love with my new red Mini that I call "Cooper". Thank you Mini USA and thank you Irvine Mini and my most sincerest thanks to Huw again.

After being a loyal Lexus customer for the previous 4 years, including thousands of dollars in general maintenance, it was time to make a more practical car choice in terms of cost of ownership. I did quite a lot of shopping, driving cars from other manufactures such as Toyota and Honda, all the while having far less than even adequate experiences.

I found exceptional value in Mini...a great car that met my current needs, included maintenance, etc. This contributed about 50% of my decision to lease this car. The other 50% I attribute to feeling like a valued customer from the very first time I walked on the lot. I was treated as if I was a 7 series customer, even though I'm not right now. I also received a loyalty discount on my lease terms because of my wife's X3. Loyalty seems to be important to Mini/BMW and something almost unheard of at Lexus.

Straightforward selling (i.e. just being able to plug in numbers in front of the customer) is the future of this business. Nobody of my generation or younger (I turn 30 in a couple days) is going to accept the "let me take it to my manager" process. Both Mini and BMW seem to have embraced this.

You have a fantastic salesperson in Huw. But, I am sure his sales and feedback from numerous other happy clients speak for themselves. In the past, I hated shopping for cars and especially hated dealing with the car sales people. By chance, I met Huw and he has completely altered my view of the car buying experience. Would I buy a MINI again? Absolutely! Would I refer a friend? Absolutely! But, I would only refer a friend to Huw John at Irvine MINI because in both my experiences with him, he understood what I wanted and found me exactly what I was looking for. MINI is a great brand, but Huw is the reason I drove 100 miles from my home and past another MINI dealership to buy my car from Irvine
